In all honesty, I often turn down trials like this on the basis that if I think I won’t like what I’m given to test, I can’t - in good conscience - recommend it to others.
However, as a Toyota devotee (I had my first few ‘grown up’ cars from Farmer & Carlisle Toyota many moons ago – I actually dealt with the same Fleet Manager that oversees things to date, Adrian Hall), I was excited that the Corolla was 'back in the game' and keen to see what it had to offer.
As covered previously, I can testify that it has all the qualities you could really want from a family and/or business car. These are:
With Toyota’s excellent 5-year 100k warranty, this also keeps worries at bay regarding any unexpected costs.
In my experience - and that of 1000’s of drivers across the UK - Toyota main dealers in general deliver excellent levels of customer care.
Farmer and Carlisle Toyota Leicestershire excel in this area, dealing with any servicing and maintenance requirements extremely effectively.
This important to everyone and of course, it is a huge consideration for fleet managers who want to keep essential down time to a minimum.
Toyotas are reliable. We know this. Reliable is good.
My test Corolla 1.8 Hatchback Hybrid car felt incredibly grounded tackling many different types of roads, handling all types of weather with aplomb.
The latest incarnation is super-stylish, turning heads wherever it travels. I would not just class this as an added bonus but as a necessity - a practical, efficient car doesn’t need to be dull.
It seems nonsensical for anyone not to consider the All New Corolla Hybrid if they are in the market for a Hatchback.
I’m not for a minute suggesting that the New Corolla Hybrid is a cheap car. You do get what you pay for.
Luckily, Farmer and Carlisle Toyota are here to work their magic, providing low-cost lease deals that enable customers to get into the driving seat of a New Corolla Self-Charging Hybrid for less than they initially thought possible.
Benefit in Kind Tax implications are low for company car drivers, as are related costs to the businesses that offer them to employees as part of their package. For more detailed information and to discuss driver costs and whole life costs, contact one of the Fleet team at Farmer and Carlisle Toyota today on 0116 285 2851 or visit our ‘Meet the Fleet Team’ website page for more information.
With contract hire and leasing deals priced as low as they are from Farmer and Carlisle Toyota, deciding upon a New Corolla 1.8 Hybrid Hatchback could be a really smart move. And speaking honestly from a customer’s perspective, I can’t rate the supplier - or the car - highly enough.
Until next time (when I will be trialling All New RAV4 SUV Hybrid), I rest my case.
It could, after all, only ever have had one verdict.
And that is a HUGE thumbs up from both myself and my boys.
